| I know this is coming a week late, but i feel like i should update! So prom was fricken AWESOME! Everyone looked soooooooo pretty. Loved all the different colours and styles this year, so nice to get away from the traditional "gown" type that i ALWAYS wear!! Pictures and LOTS of wine for the parents at my house was fun. It was a bit cold outside, but we got some great photos out of it, so it was definately worth it. The limo...alli can say is...WOW! I think the madness behind it was well worth it. Teikoku (sp?) was sooo gooooood!!! Plates of spring rolls, dumplings, chicken, duck, pad tai, salads and then dessert! So good. Just a tip: if you are ever out with a whole bunch of people you don't know..don't sit there for 2 hours saying "eww spring rolls...can i try one" or "ewwww, a mushroom..i ate a mushroom?" "dumplings, they're so gross. can you pass them down here?"..JUST DON'T DO IT! my lord that girl was the devil then off to prom we went...so much fun...looked gorgeous inside...i mean it was alright for a country club that charges $125,000 a year for membership. The first and only time i'll ever be there! The dj was pretty bad, but we still had a lot of fun, and much more space to get groovy than last year! Then we went to the hotel which again was another awesome idea..had fun there...let me just thank eric for everything he did! So that was prom night...so much fun! was VERY tired the next day, came home and slept til about 8pm! then went to hannah's house where i proceeded to pretty much sleep on the couch with her dog while watching Harry Potter. so yeah..that was that weekend...this week i started at the middle school interning with the french teacher mrs. perthes (formally mrs chirico)...it was a lot of fun. grading papers, doing oral exercizes, and then on wednesday when mrs perthes was out for the day i taught 5 classes! i'm told i did well, but i just need to speak louder! yeah, so that's pretty much the happenings from the past week...i kinda miss school...jsut the being there and seeing cool people! so all you cool people out there call me, i'm still around!! and available for lunch! ;) anyway that's it for now | comments: Leave a comment |

| The days are going by so fast now that we are on the final stretch. 10 days is not very long. It'll be over before we know it. Some of the greatest moments of my life have taken place in the past year, it has been by far the greatest year of all time. School has been bareable...ebs and i still hate eachother, but i feel like we've come to accept my lack of a)participation b)time management and c) intelligence!
Today i was doing a french assignment where i had to write about a certain time in my life that i would change. But i couldn't think of anything to change perse, but rather just make even better. Memories such as the various conings, parties, hook-ups, break-ups, rita's, and of course wednesday night dinners, sleepovers etc etc have all made this year super cool! Without you crazy people i like to call friends, i don't know what i would have done. For those of you who have known me longer, thanks for putting up with me!
I love you all so very much, and hope that we can stay intouch...boulder isn't that far away to come visit..i mean c'mon, great party school and awesome skiing!
HAPPY SENIOR YEAR GUYS....just 10 more days | comments: 1 comment or Leave a comment |

| Ok so i know this is the second post today, but i didn't have time to write about our road trip! For those of you who didn't know, Emilia, Noah and I went to Ithaca College to visit David, Noah's v. cool cousin ;) (there, i made up for a compliment that i missed) on Friday. The car ride there was probably the best part. just kidding! but it was pretty fun. We ended up not leaving til 4:45, so the start of rush hour on the PA Turnpike was fuuuuuun....I drove Noah's car, which btw is a very nice drive. Emilia stuck herself in the back with her fleece blanket and dj'd the car's music for a while until she "fell asleep". So we rode the Northeast extension (which is now my least favourite road b/c of today), for about 114 miles.
We finally stopped about an hour short of Ithaca for some food and saw a very large man, with a very bright green t-shirt and over-alls! Couldn't have been any better than that. We also managed to miss the dinner rush at this apparently good Macdonalds. It was nominated some award for having the most calls into some 800 number, in some Floridian fast-food award thingy. With Noah directing me to Ithaca...thanks to David on the phone at the end, and the 4 different sets of directions we had (which were all the same)...we managed to make it by 9ish. We didn't get to see much of the town itself, but it looked quite quaint! The evening was enjoyable, played cards, hung out, ate food, watched Roadtrip, which is Ithaca's only claim to fame...however, it was not filmed on campus in Ithaca, but on some campus in the state of Georgia..but don't tell anyone that! Oh and also, the rooms really aren't as big as they are in the movie...quite a dissappointment i know. But we did see Tom Green. Just kidding...but really. So that was fun...David's roommate, Pete, was..um..quite a character..well...to say Pete and character in the same sentence would be wrong. so he was....special...Didn't say much of anything to anyone...he did, however, have some very interesting posters. And he stole a couch! Had a quick tour of the campus on the way to breakfast in the campus center. It was very nicely set up..although there were some complaints that you had to get the food yourself....that only caused a problem when David managed to break the waffle maker! v. amusing!
then we came home :( I drove again (thanks noah!), and we managed to make it home in 3 hours and 16 mins! almost an hour faster than on the way there!!!! no traffic and no stopping...also averaged about 85/90 mph the entire way. So, you could say this weekend was a fun one...but i would say it was FANTASTIC! | comments: 2 comments or Leave a comment |
| So.....this post is a very sad one.... not only did the girls loose...but Noah was right and i was wrong! yes that is what i said. His sense of direction (if you could call it that) was correct..and i made us get "lost". But by lost i mean take a much longer, out of the way route...ok fine, i was just plain wrong! but still....just remember that sometimes noah does know what he's doing...on the 476 atleast! | comments: 3 comments or Leave a comment |

April 1, 2005 The Great Gatsby Vocabulary Assignment
Once upon a time Melissa was walking down the street. Suddenly, a malevolent witch jumped out at
her with a strident, high-pitched cry. Naturally, Melissa found this very disconcerting, and asked the
witch, “Oh whatever is the matter, madam?” But the witch continued to screech incessantly. When Melissa
asked the witch to stop, the old hag obstinately kept up her noises, and kidnapped Melissa for being too
pretty and logical. As Melissa was being carted off, her mind was filled with turbulent thoughts about
what she would do. She was astounded at the witch’s prodigality when it came to wasting a person so
perfect. When they reached the witch’s lair, a now defunct llama store from the 1920s (as llamas were
extremely popular during the Roaring Twenties), the witch launched into a garrulous speech involving the
trauma she suffered as a small child when she was attacked by a lime-green Easter bunny, and how her
mother took away her pet monkey when she was a small child – thus emotionally scarring her forever. Ten
hours later, after the witch had haughtily explained that she had won the first place in her hometown’s
spelling bee in second grade which made her realize her aspirations to be a writer (and how later she
failed as an author because people thought her nose was too big in her picture and wouldn’t buy the book,
therefore leaving her with an incredibly deep rancor), Melissa felt like she was going to combust.
Luckily, a young knight named David, who was exalted in the local kingdom for being extremely brave and
handsome, had heard the witch’s high-pitched squeaky voice, and had followed it to her lair. He snuck
unobtrusively into the room where the witch was still rambling about her life among the gypsies, and saw
the gorgeous Melissa and instantly fell in love, and knew he had to save her from the witch’s evil
clutches. He put a pie on a fishing reel, and lowered it in front of the witch. The witch found it to be
portentous, and was deeply troubled at its sudden appearance, but her everyday life was so lethargic that
she was used to constantly eating. The pie looked so scrumptious that she had to eat it, and became so
corpulent that she exploded. David had a deep feeling of complacency as the witch died and he was able to
rescue Melissa, and they lived happily ever after. Especially when they got a pet monkey. Everyone needs
a monkey. | comments: 1 comment or Leave a comment |
